A light dusting of snow had me reaching for my camera before heading to work one morning. Taken in Glasgow’s West End, this scene comes from a small park beside the water at Kelvinbridge. Everything felt unusually quiet and serene, echoing the mood of an old oil painting from the early twentieth century. The bare branches stretch upward and weave together with the surrounding trees, forming a kind of natural canopy and sheltering the stillness below.

Snow-laden branches dominate the scene, creating intricate detail. A bench in the background adds scale and a sense of stillness.
